GAMECRAFT: The UI/UX & Dev Challenge
Design and build immersive, functional, and visually stunning UI/UX for a modern game environment — from concept to code.
Welcome to Gamecraft: The UI/UX & Dev Challenge, where art meets code in the thrilling universe of game interface design. This challenge pushes participants to go beyond static mockups and step into the full-stack role of a UI/UX designer-developer. Craft breathtaking game screens, menus, and HUDs with high visual polish — and then bring them to life through real, responsive front-end development. Whether you’re designing for a mobile platformer, a desktop strategy game, or a web-based arcade, this is your opportunity to demonstrate not only your creative design skills but also your ability to translate vision into functional interfaces using modern front-end technologies. It’s a true test of versatility, game sense, and user empathy — ideal for those who love storytelling through interaction and visuals.

Challenge Overview
Participants will design and develop a complete game UI for a fictional or real game idea. You’ll create a cohesive user experience while demonstrating design sensibility and technical skill.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Choose a game concept or receive a genre/theme brief.
- Design wireframes or mockups using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- Develop your UI using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or any modern frontend stack (React/Three.js welcome).
- Create responsive and interactive components:
- Start screen/menu
- In-game HUD (health bars, score counters, minimap)
- Inventory/settings/mission screens
- Animations or transitions (CSS or JS-powered)
- Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and fluid navigation.
