The cities of tomorrow won’t be built with concrete alone—they’ll be powered by data, intelligence, and sustainable technology. SMARTCITYHACK 2024 is a national-level hackathon inviting developers, designers, engineers, urban planners, and tech enthusiasts to reimagine how cities operate, evolve, and serve their citizens.

From smart infrastructure and AI traffic control to predictive energy systems and urban safety, participants will have 36 hours to turn big ideas into working solutions that can transform how people live, move, work, and connect in smart cities. It’s not just about coding—it’s about crafting the cities we want to live in.

Simulate real-time city operations using IoT data, dashboards, and analytics.
🚗 AI for Urban Mobility
Optimize traffic, parking, and public transportation using AI and ML.
⚡ Sustainable Energy Systems
Create platforms for monitoring, reducing, or redistributing energy use in real time.
📶 Smart IoT for Public Services
Build IoT-enabled systems for waste, water, pollution, safety, and emergency response.
🏘️ Citizen-Centric Apps
Develop mobile/web apps that enhance public engagement, access to services, and transparency.
🔐 Urban Cybersecurity & Data Privacy
Secure smart infrastructure and user data using Zero Trust, blockchain, or threat monitoring tools.

🛠️ What Participants Will Do

Choose a track and build an MVP around a problem statement.
Use real-time data, IoT simulations, or cloud-based services.
Create a working prototype with a compelling UI, functionality, and impact.
Pitch the project to a jury with a live demo.
